Every 3 years your Local Union holds an election for its officers which will represent and lead the members of this Union. To be nominated for one of the officer's positions you must be a member in good standing for a minimum of 2 years. A notice will be sent to each members home address that we have on file at the Union Hall, if you have moved or changed your name you will need to notify us of the change by calling 412-922-6969.
Nominations will be held at the August monthly union meeting this year, which is a few months later than normal due to COVID-19 disruption. If you are nominated by someone at the meeting you will need to either be present to accept the nomination or if you are unable to attend the meeting you must submit a letter to the Union Hall no later than 3pm the day of the meeting. The letter should state what officer position you are accepting, your name printed, signed and dated, any letter that is not signed will not be accepted.
We are looking for dedicated members who want to continue to make this a great union, by fighting for workers' rights and promoting harmony within the union ranks.
