Successful Stewards Training

Friday, October 20, 2017
On October 7th we held a stewards training session with Vic Fiore doing most of the talking/training, we also had our labor attorney Josh Bloom there to talk about the types of wording to use when writing grievances and information that is helpful when going to arbitration. Josh also answered some questions on what the company can and can’t do which was helpful for everyone, me included.  I hope the training will provide better representation for our members which in turn should create more solidarity. I feel training is ongoing whether you are in a classroom or out in the field, every day you should learn something.   We plan on having additional training sessions in the future, the next one will be in early January, a notice will be sent out next month, so sign up early.

I want to thank Vic Fiore, Josh Bloom and all the stewards and officers who gave up part of their Saturday to participate, it is greatly appreciated.
