Labor Day Parade 2019

Monday, September 9, 2019
Local 29 had a great showing for the Labor Day Parade as many of the members, retirees and their families came out to march and celebrate with a picnic afterwards. The weather was perfect, the food was great and the beverages were cold, what more could you ask for. We had the local 29 MRC (Motorcycle Riding Club) riding in the parade which is always a hit with everyone in attendance.

I want to thank everyone who took the time out of their day to show support and solidarity for their local union by marching on this great holiday. I also want to thank Al Dean and everyone that helped setup and then cleanup after the picnic. Mike Sowko did a great job passing out the hats and shirts as him and Jim Depoe got to the lot early (6am) to make sure we had a good spot to set up our tents. Please look at the photos that have been submitted……anyone who has photos from the parade they would like to submit please send them to IBEW29@IBEW29.org.

Anyone who would like to purchase a parade shirt or hat for $10 each can call the hall 412-922-6969.
