Grievance and Arbitration Report

Friday, August 10, 2018
We had an arbitration vs Duquesne Light Co. for FMLA policy being implemented, the arbitration went well, we used Tim Moran and Jeff Davis to testify and Vic Fiore really wanted to testify but we didn't feel as though we needed him for this one. Our attorney Josh bloom did a good job using all the knowledge that Tim and Vic bring with them, I don't believe the company was ready for the history that they have and know all of the different arbitrations that applied to this case. Now we just have to wait for the decision.

We have two other arbitrations scheduled with DLC one Oct 17th for a termination and the other is Dec. 4th for a grievance on the reasonable overtime issue which will be a very important arbitration.

NRG - we have an arbitration scheduled for sept 12th that deals with retiree life insurance.

Beaver Valley - we had to repick our arbitration list so that has slowed us down in picking arbitrators for one of the grievances we plan on arbitrating...we have narrowed it down to a few grievances to pick from. I will keep you posted when we have an arbitration date.
