A Duquesne Light employee that was terminated in June of 2016 was reinstated with 6 months of back pay. This case was scheduled for arbitration on October 19th, by settling the case we did not get all the back pay that we wanted, but we did guarantee that the employee would get his job back along with some back pay. I feel anytime you can settle a case it is better than risking arbitration, especially when someone’s employment is on the line. I’m sure we will have plenty of other cases that we will end up in arbitration because we won’t come to an agreement with the company.
