Summer is Here, Stay Safe

Message from Business Manager Kenn Bradley

Summer is finally here. While many of us are planning our summer vacations and enjoying some rest and relaxation, we must also stay aware that the summer heat brings dangerous working conditions. Once again the IBEW is taking part in OSHA's Water. Rest. Shade. campaign. It is important to remember to stop and properly hydrate throughout the day. More tips for preventing heat illness can be found here.

Local 29 will also be having a number of events this summer. These include the annual East Coast Motorcycle Ride, which is taking place on July 21st and our Idlewild Picnic which is taking place on July 22. I have provided details for both of these events below.

I hope that everyone has a good summer and enjoys a safe and happy Fourth of July.
