A Message from Business Manager Kenn Bradley
This Christmas holiday will be unlike any we have ever had before but the true meaning of Christmas will remain the same. Many of the usual holiday get togethers will be smaller if they are not canceled all together. My family's grab bag party has been held at my mothers house the day after Christmas for the last 50 years, no matter how bad the weather was and includes up to 60 family members coming together from many different states throughout the United States, Covid will bring that streak to an end. We will adapt and make the best of the situation by spending more time at home with less family and friends.
Covid can not and will not stop us from giving, especially since the need is greater than ever this year, as a union we have donated thousands of dollars to area food banks. We also donated $1,000, plus some individual donations for toys, which Al Dean used to purchase and deliver toys to the annual Stuff The Bus event. Thanks to all those who donated for this event, it is greatly appreciated.
The holidays are always stressful and Covid has just added to the stress, I want everyone to remember that no matter what company you work for there is a benefit (EAP - Employee Assistance Program) that is under used but can help with stress and many other things so please look into the EAP where you work, it is confidential and very helpful.
Please continue to wear your mask and social distance when possible until we get through this pandemic, since the virus is one thing we do not want to give to our friends and family.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family and hope that we will return to normal for 2021.
