Merry Christmas

Saturday, December 21, 2019
Christmas is a time to enjoy with your family and friends even though leading up to the holidays it can be very hectic, buying presents, decorating trees, even going to Christmas parties or dinners, all this and still going to work. Those things can be a major distraction whether you are at work or at home and distractions can cause accidents and that is the last thing you or your family need at this time of year. I am asking everyone to stay extra focused on safety during the holidays.

I know we have many members who must work overtime to keep the lights on 24/7 and won't get to spend as much time with their families as they would like. I know how hard that is since I worked as an operator at one of the generating stations for 35 years, so I want to say thank you to all the men and women that have to make that sacrifice.

They say it is better to give than to receive and I truly believe that, so try to help someone in need either by donating your time to someone who needs your help or by giving a donation. As union members I feel we are very fortunate and are the kind of people that always want to help others.
I want to wish everyone and their families a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Happy New Year. Happy Holidays.
